Leap of Faith
Used with Water color

A leap of faith into the unknown. Doing a leap of FAITH is something everyone does daily or at least once in their lives. I made someone on top of a tall pillar to signify what is at stake or the depth of what you are trying to achieve. On the left side I wanted to have the danger zone of sharp mountains or spikes showing where one would fail. on the right side there I made it look blurred. I made it with different types of yellow to show happiness. the right side would signify what people would feel when they have a SUCCESSFUL leap of faith, but there wouldn't be anything consistent to show how no one really knows what they will get out of it or the reward a person will get.
I put a jagged ladder up the left side of the tall pillar to show how when you try to get back up and how hard the journey is. I used water color to make some of the sides blurry since I was intrigued by one of the artists I looked at who blurred out his painting so it looked like something people recognized, but there wasn't a concrete scene of it. I based this painting on several leap of faith I had to take in the beginning of the school year. I REMEMBER feeling anxiety and scared. My first leap of faith I fell, However I did get back up and going back up was a struggle, which is why I put the jagged ladder up the left side. when i did my second leap of faith i achieved what i was aiming for and i felt like I won the lottery, which is why I put a yellow background to show happiness. I had a non descriptive person on top so that people can imagine themselves on top of it. |
